This year, we are particularly proud to celebrate the success of both our Crime and Social Housing practice groups, which have risen to Tier 2, joining our award-winning Family Children team.

Georgia is quoted as ‘being one to watch; and fast becoming a leading star to child defendants where she has an innate ability to engage with clients and get the best outcomes for them.’

Nathaniel is described as ‘a rising star; he always provides detailed, considered instructions and strives to ensure the best results for his clients.’

Social Welfare

The Social Welfare department, led by respected Partner and Head Katie Brown, also continues to go from strength to strength, moving up to Tier 2 for Social Housing. Partner Jenny Mansell and Associate Emily Black have once again been recognised as Key Lawyers.

Emily is described as ‘a standout associate with great strategic instincts.’

The Social Housing team is quoted as ‘having a wide range of impressive lawyers who are both technically skilled and highly approachable.’ Furthermore, they are ‘able to build strong and trusting relationships with their vulnerable clients, and they manage to achieve impressive outcomes in challenging cases.’ It has once again been recognised that ‘members of the teams often have adjacent practices in community care and COP, which is invaluable when working for vulnerable housing clients.’

TV Edwards also maintains its strong reputation across other practice areas of Social Welfare, including Court of Protection (Tier 4) and Administrative and Public Law (Tier 5).

We are proud to have several outstanding Key Lawyers recognised across these practice areas, including Jenny Mansell, Shaun Livingston, Monica Kreel and Nilufer Ozdemir. Congratulations to Maya Jordan-Shah, who has been recognised as a Key Lawyer in Court of Protection for the first time.

Further testimonials

The Criminal Defence team: ‘There is a really impressive culture at TV Edwards of professionalism, hard work, and a sincere dedication to their clients. This stems from the excellent leadership and training, which consistently produces talented junior solicitors. I consider them to be a cut above the rest – in my experience, they do far more and work far harder than almost any other firm I know.’

The Family Children team: ‘The team at TV Edwards has been very collaborative, communicative, and helpful in a range of circumstances. I have interacted with partners, associates, and billing and have found them to be a very effective and empathetic team. They are focused on their family practice, and it’s clear that they want to resolve issues and put children’s safety and well-being first – even if it means resolving the need for their service quickly. I have appreciated working with this firm, which came highly recommended to me, and which I now recommend to anyone in need.’

The Social Welfare Housing team: ‘The team has great strength in depth and knowledge of both housing law and other associated areas. They work hard on behalf of clients and have a very good training regime, which is shown by the number of their trainees becoming really excellent solicitors. They are focused on the clients and work hard to get to the root of the problem. They strike a good balance between using litigation strategically and maintaining good relations with opponents, which is important for clients’ ongoing relationships.’

The Social Welfare COP team: ‘TV Edwards’ Court of Protection practice is one of the finest in the field. The team combines deep legal expertise with an instinctive understanding of what CoP litigation demands. Being instructed by TV Edwards is a genuine pleasure: their preparation is meticulous, their legal knowledge is exceptional, and they approach even the most difficult cases with clarity and purpose.’
