The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and professional Administrative Assistant to help with the communication and organisation of our busy family law department. Someone with good organisation skills, who is proactive with excellent oral and written communication abilities.
You will be responsible to Paul Read (Head of Department) and Sarah Inchley (Partner) and a crucial part in assisting the team with all aspects of administration.
Candidates with experience in administration within busy and fast paced environments are encouraged to apply. Candidates with experience outside a legal environment will also be considered.
This role is part-time, working 14 hours per week and based in our Whitechapel office. Our standard working hours are 9.30am – 5.30pm but we can be flexible should the ideal candidate wish to split the 14 hours over two or three days.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensuring good communication in the department by producing a regular departmental newsletter;
- Arranging departmental meetings and actioning the administration of department projects arising;
- Organising the team’s administration for risk and compliance
- Booking courses and seminars for the team and subscriptions for our accreditations;
- Actioning the administration required for our legal directories submissions, legal training sessions and networking events;
- To assist with the administration for the induction of new joiners to the team;
- Assisting with new enquiries from time to time when our Client Service Manager is on leave;
- Retrieving and compiling data and reports from the firm’s case management system;
- Planning for the regular rotation of Trainee Solicitors
- Generally assisting with the organisation and communication within our large team.
