If you are homeless, or threatened with homelessness, and you have the correct immigration status, then a local authority will have a duty to take a homeless application and made a decision about what duties they owe you and your household.
However, you may need help if you think the local authority is not meeting their duties.
This could be because they have failed to process your application, given you a negative decision in relation to your homelessness application or offered you unsuitable accommodation.
You may need assistance to challenge the local authority’s decision (by statutory review or county court appeal) or to make an application to the High Court for a judicial review.
