Simon joined TV Edwards LLP in January 2022. He assists Katie Brown and Amanda Ford with their housing work.
Before joining TV Edwards LLP, Simon worked as a Money Adviser for a Local Authority. Whilst employed by the Local Authority Simon gained accreditation as a Money Adviser.
As a Paralegal at TV Edwards LLP, Simon regularly draws on his previous experience as an advisor to identify the impacts that debt and benefits issues might have on a client. Simon’s experience working within a Local Authority Housing Department means he has a good understanding of how housing decisions are made and the duties that Local Authorities must adhere to.
Simon’s interest in benefits and housing began when he volunteered for Citizens’ Advice where he successfully represented clients at the First-Tier Tribunal (Social Entitlement Chamber) to challenge refusals of Personal Independence Payments.
Simon completed the Graduate Diploma in Law in 2018 with a Commendation and he is currently working towards obtaining his Legal Practice Course qualification.
