Adam Haffenden is a Member Partner and Head of Dispute Resolution at TV Edwards LLP, a leading London law firm recognised in The Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners. He is a tenacious, highly skilled litigator with deep expertise in high-value, complex and multi-jurisdictional disputes.
Acting for clients across the UK and internationally, Adam is widely regarded for his ability to navigate sophisticated commercial, civil and property litigation. His clients have included Fortune Global 500 corporations, UHNW and HNW individuals, foreign embassies, international manufacturers, global airlines, foreign banks, technology companies, asset-holding groups, and logistics and real estate development businesses.
Before joining TV Edwards LLP in June 2021, Adam spent several years at respected City and West-End law firms, successfully acting in a number of high-profile and reported cases. Adam previously worked within Liberty Mutual International’s specialist insurance arm in the City, where he spearheaded the development and expansion of a high-growth subsidiary in the solicitor PII market. His strategic leadership helped propel the business to a multi-million-pound revenue within the first few years.

- Successfully enforcing a substantial Dutch judgment in the UK on behalf of a famous international luxury yacht manufacturer.
- Representing the largest victim of the Axiom Ince fraud scandal (which involved the misappropriation of over £70 million of client money) in a £7 million claim against Axiom’s insurer.
- Successfully obtaining a worldwide freezing injunction against several international companies involving a multi-million-pound investment fraud.
- Obtaining judgment for £700,000 in a complex property dispute concerning the misappropriation of funds connected to the property relating to a famous musician.
- Representing a defendant in a £2.5 million fundamental dishonesty dispute brought by a major UK insurer.

- Settling on favourable terms a substantial misrepresentation and account of profits claim for a UHNW Saudi client relating to property acquisitions in excess of £20 million.
- Advising on the merits of obtaining a WWFI relating to a Nigerian oil field dispute involving multiple judgments in various jurisdictions and concerning funds being held in an escrow account.
- Winning a £200,000 complex contractual Arbitration dispute involving a large London based housing association.
- Winning a 4-day TOLATA trial achieving an order for sale and an order for 50% of the proceeds of sale and obtaining an adverse costs order for £25,000 against defendant.
- Acting for an UHNW client in successfully obtaining a freezing injunction against the defendant’s two UK based assets worth more than £1.7 million after enforcing a Chinese judgment debt to the value of £5 million and securing an order for sale of the defendants UK based property.
- Advising in respect of an Account Freezing Order made by HMRC relating to suspected money laundering under POCA 2002.
