Congratulations to Nathaniel Gadsby who has been promoted to Senior Associate in the firm’s highly regarded Criminal Defence team. This promotion recognises Nathaniel’s hard work, and the significant contribution he has made since joining the firm. Nathaniel Gadsby’s Journey
Nathaniel joined TV Edwards in 2018 as a Paralegal before completing his training contract and qualifying as a Solicitor in 2021.
Since then, he has developed a strong and varied criminal defence practice. As a Duty Solicitor, he regularly represents clients at the police station and in the Magistrates’ Court, often at crucial early stages of proceedings. He also prepares cases for the Crown Court and has experience across a broad spectrum of serious matters, including cases involving violence, drugs, fraud, sexual offences and complex conspiracies.
He has a particular interest in representing children, recognising the profound impact criminal proceedings can have on young people. He is committed to encouraging prosecuting authorities to consider out-of-court disposals where appropriate. Nathaniel also specialises in representing individuals with mental health issues and has extensive experience dealing with matters such as fitness to plead, fitness to stand trial, non-insane automatism and the defence of insanity.

A valued and supportive member of the team, Nathaniel is known for his calm and approachable manner. He plays a key role within the department, with junior colleagues frequently seeking his guidance. His clear, practical advice and collaborative approach underpin his commitment to achieving the best outcomes for both clients and colleagues.
