About Jamie
Jamie qualified as a solicitor in August 2025 after successfully completing a training contract within the firm’s social welfare department. Jamie represents clients with disabilities, care needs, and people facing homelessness across a range of community care, public law, housing, and Court of Protection matters.
On behalf of his clients, Jamie has:
- Successfully defended housing possession proceedings in the County Court
- Obtained compensation for housing disrepair and poor housing conditions;
- Pursued urgent judicial review proceedings in the Administrative Court;
- Acted in the Court of Protection for both applicants and respondents in health and welfare applications relating to deprivations of liberty and P’s best interests; and
- Secured increased packages of social care through judicial review pre-action correspondence with local authorities.
- Prior to joining TV Edwards, Jamie volunteered at Hackney Community Law Centre where he undertook housing work. Jamie was the recipient of TV Edwards’ Rising Star award at the firm’s Annual General Meeting in 2026.

Notable cases
- Housing: Jamie acted for the defendant in possession proceedings brought on rent arrears grounds. Jamie successfully applied to set aside an outright possession order granted to the landlord, and following the issuing of a counterclaim for disrepair and poor housing conditions, secured the dismissal of the claim with the landlord’s consent, also obtaining compensation for the client.
- Court of Protection: Jamie represented a young man (“P”) with Klinefelter’s Syndrome, autism, and ADHD. P’s supported living placement in the community was at risk of breakdown due to his very challenging behaviour. During the proceedings, Jamie obtained evidence from multiple experts in the fields of mental capacity, psychiatry and psychology, whose detailed reports and recommendations enabled staff to better understand and care for P, vastly reducing the risk of future placement breakdown. Jamie was instructed by the Official Solicitor.
- Community care: Jamie acted for an elderly woman with severe mobility problems, who resided in an unsuitable flat in the private rented sector. Following pre-action correspondence with the local authority the client was assessed by an occupational therapist whose recommendations resulted in the client receiving a daily package of care, leading to an improved quality of life.
