TV Edwards continues to invest in its people and future growth with the appointment of two solicitors, Mehreen Bukhari to its Family Finance team and Shah Al Hoque to its Property team. The appointments reflect the firm’s commitment to developing its specialist legal services, expanding expertise across key practice areas and delivering high-quality, tailored advice to clients.
The investment in talent comes as TV Edwards continues to build on its reputation for client service, having been shortlisted for a national SME business award recognising service excellence.
Mehreen Bukhari joins the Family Finance team
Mehreen joins the Family Finance team, led by Head of Department Caroline Andrews, who joined the firm in May with a strategic remit to develop the team’s client base and support its continued growth.
Qualifying as a solicitor in 2024, Mehreen brings more than four years of experience in private family law. Her practice encompasses financial remedies and private children disputes, including high- and ultra-high-net-worth divorces, complex child arrangements, financial provision for children, and pre- and post-nuptial agreements.
She also advises on cohabitation disputes, domestic abuse matters and international family cases involving overseas assets and child relocation. Combining a pragmatic and compassionate approach, Mehreen supports clients through often challenging circumstances, providing clear advice and practical guidance throughout proceedings.
A member of the Law Society of England and Wales and Resolution, Mehreen is also involved in charitable work supporting organisations that address violence against women and girls.
Shah Al Hoque strengthens the Property team
Shah joins the Property team, led by Partner and Head of Property Juanita Francis, following a landmark year for the department. In 2026, the team secured two accolades at the National Conveyancing Awards, winning both Boutique Residential Property Team of the Year and Conveyancing Firm of the Year (South). The awards recognise the team’s commitment to high standards of service and innovation.
Shah qualified as a solicitor in 2025 and brings more than five years of experience in residential conveyancing, having progressed from a paralegal role. He advises clients on a broad range of residential property matters, including sales and purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity, buy-to-let transactions, property auctions and transactions involving Islamic finance.
His appointment further strengthens the team’s expertise and capacity to support clients across a diverse range of property transactions.
Investing in talent to support future growth
Commenting on the appointments, Managing Partner, Julian Overton, at TV Edwards said:
“We are committed to growing the firm by investing in talented people who share our ambition and commitment to excellent client service. Mehreen and Shah bring valuable experience and specialist expertise to their respective teams, and their appointments reflect our confidence in the continued development of both practice areas. We are delighted to welcome them to TV Edwards and look forward to the contribution they will make to our clients, our teams and the wider business.”
