Migrant Support

Our Migrant Support solicitors are experienced in assisting asylum seekers and migrants with no or irregular immigration status to access their rights to housing and financial support from the Home Office or local authorities.

Our case work includes:

• Assisting young people whose age is disputed with challenging local authority assessments of their age;
• Representing asylum seekers in judicial review challenges to the suitability of their accommodation provided by the Home Office or social services; and
• Helping destitute asylum seekers and their families access financial and/or other support from the local authority under the Children Act 1989 (for families with children, or young people leaving care) or the Care Act 2014 for adults with care and support needs. 

Our Migrant Support team have developed a reputation for success in cases in the High Court and Upper Tribunal (Immigration and Asylum Chamber) in obtaining vital support for asylum seekers, many of whom are vulnerable, and often on an urgent basis.
