We are pleased to announce the promotion of Maya Jordan Shah to Associate Solicitor within our highly regarded Social Welfare team. Maya’s progression is a testament to TV Edwards’ commitment to nurturing talent from within and it highlights the strength of our homegrown culture and opportunities for career development.
Since joining TV Edwards as a paralegal in 2020 and qualifying as a solicitor in 2022, she has become a valued member of the team. Maya advises on a wide range of housing, Community care and Court of Protection work, and regularly represents vulnerable clients in complex and urgent situations, including possession proceedings, homelessness applications and challenges to local authority decisions.
Maya has a strong track record of achieving positive outcomes. Her work includes preventing evictions through negotiation and securing suitable accommodation for individuals and families facing housing difficulties. She is also experienced in Court of Protection cases, acting in sensitive matters involving capacity and care.
Known for her compassionate and thorough approach, Maya combines careful legal analysis with a practical mindset, ensuring clients are supported through often challenging circumstances.
