The Licensing Team at TV Edwards successfully assisted clients Ox Events in their application to South Oxfordshire District Council for a Premises Licence.

The 2,000 capacity Gentlemen’s Fight Night event is due to take place this Friday 1^st April and all tickets are sold out! Previously, the event (also Licenced by TV Edwards) took place at Oxford Ice Rink. However, this year, the event is due to take place at Oxford Harlequins Rugby Football Ground on Oxford Road.

At events of this size, before regulated entertainment such as boxing or supplying alcohol can take place, a Premises Licence is required. Applications are made to the local authority and are subject to a 28-day consultation period.

We were delighted to have helped them secure yet another Premises Licence this year at their new venue in South Oxfordshire. I think it’s the first time our team have licensed a boxing match taking place in a Big Top in a sports field, but there’s a first time for everything!
