The Family team at TV Edwards is delighted with its performance in the independent legal directory, Chambers and Partners.
The department as a whole is described as a team offering clients support across a wide range of family issues, including nuptial agreements, ancillary relief and private law children proceedings. There was particular recognition of the ‘notable strength in public law care work, with deep expertise in abuse and adoption cases’.
The Children: public law team has again been ranked in Band 1 in London, the best ranking available, with only 5 other firms achieving this rating, and we are delighted to note that the hard work and specialist expertise of two ‘notable practitioners’ in that team has been recognised.
Maud Davis who ‘possesses “great experience and expertise” in public care proceedings, representing vulnerable parents and children. She has higher rights of audience and has appeared as an advocate in the family courts’.
Alison Leivesley who heads the public law practice is noted to have ‘significant expertise in cases involving FGM, forced marriage and ‘honour’-based violence’. She is further described as a “fantastic lawyer” who is “completely committed” and “can make really complicated law very easy for people to understand”.
TV Edwards’s Managing Partner, Julian Overton, said about the results “Our Family Department has an enviable standing across London and we are all very pleased the team’s hard work and expertise continues to be recognised”.
