Tim initially worked as a family law paralegal where he represented a number of parents at PLO meetings and supported senior solicitors to represent parents in Care proceedings. Tim has also supported senior solicitors who are instructed by CAFCASS Children’s Guardians to represent children in Family court proceedings.
Tim is also accustomed to working with clients who are vulnerable and those with additional needs and understand the importance of making reasonable adjustments where required. Tim has a particular interest in protecting the rights of neurodivergent clients and spreading awareness of issues that arise in cases where neurodiverse conditions are a feature.
Tim became interested in Public Children Law when he was studying the Legal Practice Course (LPC). Tim took the Family Law module and he learned that Local Authorities have a legal duty to support children in need in their area and their parents or carers. That motivated him to find a role where he could work with families that need support from their Local Authorities.
