Atul joined TV Edwards’ Dispute Resolution Department in September 2025. He qualified as a solicitor in July 1999 and is an experienced specialist dispute resolution solicitor with over 25 years’ experience dealing with commercial litigation, banking and financial litigation, professional negligence, construction and engineering disputes, property litigation, family litigation including matrimonial financial disputes and children care proceedings, personal injury, immigration disputes and alternative dispute resolution including mediation and arbitration. Atul has developed an extensive practice in commercial litigation, acting for a wide variety of clients including individuals, small and medium-sized enterprises corporate and international clients.
Atul also has experience working overseas in Accra, Ghana and Cape Town, South Africa helping local residents who cannot afford legal services to resolve their personal disputes and human rights issues. This involved working in a Legal Aid Office funded by the Ghana Government in Accra and the Projects Abroad Human Rights Office in Cape Town including attending clinics at various townships in Cape Town to give advice and assistance.
Atul has particular expertise in property disputes, banking and financial litigation, professional negligence, breach of contract disputes and employment matters.

He has excellent investigative, analytical and problem solving skills in quickly finding resolutions to all types of disputes including mastering novel and complex issues. He possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills, and has a pleasant manner. He prides himself in providing honest and pragmatic advice to his clients from the outset of instruction and his hard-working approach is driven by his commitment to actively support, advocate for, and fight for the rights of his clients and obtaining their most favourable resolution.

- Acting for lenders including Barclays Bank, Royal Bank of Scotland, National Westminster, Bank of Ireland and Capital Home Loans in disputes involving professional negligence, breach of trust, civil fraud and defending mis-sale and undisclosed commission complaints
- Acted for interior design company in recovering unpaid invoices for work carried out on a superyacht, successfully defending counterclaim for over 2 million for loss of charter revenue brought by the superyacht owner, and enforcing judgment by arresting (seizing) superyacht moored overseas in Monaco
- Acted for Ion Exchange (India) Limited, specialists in water and environmental management in defence of claim brought by UK based water board in supply of defective products
- Acted for manufacturer / supplier of ‘thin metal foil’ for packaging of food snacks against UK snack manufacturers for non-payment of fees and defending allegations of supplying defective products, including obtaining of expert evidence
- Acted for wines / spirits and alcoholic beverage distributors in the action to recover substantial sums against multi-national retailers including J. Sainsbury, Tesco, Asda
- Acted for Appellant at an Immigration Appeal Tribunal against decision to refuse Special Quota Voucher to enter the UK which involved a successful application for Judicial Review
- Acted for Claimant who suffered injuries after slipping whilst descending aircraft steps against Iran Air which involved issues of recklessness, jurisdiction and limitation of damages under the Warsaw Convention
- Assisted in a Group Claim for Claimants on behalf of children with special needs including Dyslexia against Local Education Authorities for damages in failing to provide adequate help and assistance

- Mentmore International Ltd v. Abbey Healthcare [2009] EWHC 2109 (Ch) – Acted for Claimant against Defendant in failing to use its best endeavours to release Claimant from personal guarantees in relation to a share purchase scheme.
- Top Layer Interiors Ltd v. Azure Maritime Holdings SA [2007] EWHC 2884 (QB) – Acted for Claimant in dealing with the interpretation of terms of a contract including whether contract included a term making time of the essence.
- Kler Knitwear Ltd v. Lombard General Insurance Co. Ltd [2000] Lloyd’s Rep. I.R. 47 – Acted for Claimant in distinguishing warranties and suspensive conditions in an insurance policy.
