About Magdalen

Magdalen is a trainee solicitor in the Social Welfare team. She supports Emily Black with her housing work and Harriet Sampson and Niamh O’Sullivan with their community care and Court of Protection work.

Before joining TV Edwards Magdalen worked as a paralegal for another London firm helping clients to obtain suitable accommodation from local authorities under their homelessness duties. Magdalen also worked on possession cases, advising tenants threatened with eviction from their home.

Magdalen obtained her law degree at the University of Hong Kong. After graduating Magdalen worked as a legal caseworker at the Justice Centre in Hong Kong, advising asylum seekers and migrants in immigration matters.

Following her move to the UK, Magdalen worked for Citizens Advice as an advisor providing help and support on a wide variety of social welfare issues.

During her casework roles Magdalen has received positive feedback from clients for her empathetic approach and good outcomes achieved for their cases. Magdalen was always interested in working with individuals, especially vulnerable people who struggle to access support.
