Fateha specialises in cases concerning children in both private and public law proceedings, including applications for care and supervision orders. She also has experience of advising in relation to special guardianship orders.
Fateha has experience of advising parents in care proceedings where there are concerns regarding drug or alcohol issues, mental health problems and allegations of domestic abuse.
Fateha attends pre proceedings meeting when children services are involved with a family prior to any court proceedings being issued.
Fateha qualified as a solicitor in September 2018 and has experience in helping parents make decisions about their children, specifically the time children spend with each parent. She takes a sensitive and supportive approach and is able to put clients at ease to make the process of obtaining advice and, where necessary, taking action in a calm and supportive way. Fateha represents parents within private law proceedings including child arrangements, prohibited steps and specific issue orders.
In addition to children matters, Fateha has expertise in domestic abuse matters, putting protective measures such as non-molestation orders and occupation orders in place to assist vulnerable clients and their children. Fateha advises both applicants and respondents in domestic abuse cases.
