Cheryl’s role as a Private Client Lawyer is a second career following her time at HMRC Inheritance Tax as a Technical Caseworker.
Cheryl has over twenty years’ experience, advising and acting for clients in the Private Client arena. Her experiences at HMRC have provided her with an in depth understanding of the nuances of IHT and a robust and thorough, approach in her communications and representations with and to HMRC.
Cheryl acts for a diverse range of clients including those with modest assets through to those with complex affairs and high net worth.
Cheryl is acutely conscious that many of her clients contact her when they are at their most vulnerable and she recognises the importance of a clear, concise and empathetic approach in her dealings with her clients coupled with an organised, pragmatic and robust approach to their legal issues.

- Achieving successful claims for 100% Business Property Relief in relation to lifetime gifts and assets passing on death where entitlement to full BPR was not clear cut ( unquoted shares with a value exceeding £6 million)
