Following the outstanding results in this year’s Legal 500 rankings, we are delighted to announce another highly successful year for TV Edwards in the Chambers UK 2026 directory. Our renowned Social Welfare, Family, and Criminal Defence teams continue to thrive, earning recognition across seven ranked practice areas, including two newly ranked departments, and celebrating 15 ranked lawyers, six of whom are new individual recognitions. Every one of our teams and colleagues has either retained or improved their ranking which is an achievement we are extremely proud of.

Social Welfare Team

Congratulations to our Social Welfare team, who appear for the first time in Band 3 for their outstanding Court of Protection (COP) work. This new ranking is accompanied by a series of impressive individual recognitions:

• Associate Monica Kreel rises to Band 3
• Solicitor Liam Cunningham and Senior Associate Nilufer Ozdemir are both recognised for the first time as “Associates to Watch.”

A special mention goes to Associate Shaun Livingston, who has been recognised for the first time as a “Star Associate” in Administrative & Public Law, following his well-deserved win at the 2025 Legal Aid Lawyer of the Year Awards for Public Law.

Under the outstanding leadership of Head and Partner Katie Brown, our Social Welfare team continues to thrive, with both the Social Housing practice area and Katie herself retaining their well-deserved Band 2 rankings.

Family Team

Our acclaimed Family team continues to impress, earning recognition in three practice areas, demonstrating both its depth and breadth of expertise.

The team is ranked for the first time in Band 3 in a new practice area: International Abduction, Adoption and Surrogacy led by talented Partner Sarah Inchley, who also achieves her own Band 3 ranking.

The team is delighted to have maintained its Band 1 ranking in Children: Public Law, reaffirming its exceptional reputation in this area. Continuing its commitment to excellence, the team recently welcomed Alia Lewis as Partner and Head of Public Law Children. Alia, ranked in Band 3 and recognised as a Spotlight DEI Champion, is celebrated for her trailblazing work in supporting the neurodivergent community. She is described as “deeply passionate and the leading authority on representing neurodivergent children.”

Additionally, the family team maintains its high Band 2 status in Family: Children Law, with Associate Anest Mathias retaining her outstanding Band 2 ranking and reputation as a specialist in fertility law.

Crime team

Our respected Crime department led by Band 3 Partner and Head, Adrienne Wright, continues to uphold its strong reputation, retaining its Band 3 ranking and earning a Spotlight as Legal Aid Specialists. Congratulations to Associate Georgia Patterson, shortlisted in 2025 for the Legal Aid Lawyer of the Year Award for Crime, and now recognised for the first time as “Associate to Watch”. She is joined by Senior Associate Adam Shaw who received excellent feedback, further highlighting the team’s talent and dedication.
