Shazina is a specialist housing and public law solicitor, who is committed to legal aid work.  She undertakes work in all areas of housing and housing related public law, including:

1. Defending possession proceedings (rented and mortgaged properties)
2. Disrepair claims- both freestanding and by way of counterclaims in possession proceedings
3. Evictions and emergency applications for re- entry

Housing problem. I was in a hostel for 8 months. I was a victim of domestic violence also my daughter was autistic. At the beginning council provided me a hostel for me and my autistic child. It was shared kitchen. Then council stopped Contacting with me .I called them send them messages but they didn’t reply at all. Then after 6 months they sent me an email that they don’t have anything suitable for me. That crucial time I found Shazina Hussain number. I contact with her. She make an appointment with me. From that time she constantly send them letter. After receiving her letter straight away council contact with me and send me another hotel. That hotel wasn’t suitable for my child so Shazina sent them another letter. After receiving that letter they provided me a temporary house but it wasn’t near to my support system. That time council behaved so badly with me. Then Shazina Hussain did judicial review for my housing situation. After applying judicial review straight away council provided a flat from housing association. It’s a 2 bedroom flat .finally I got something suitable for my child.
