Maria qualified in 2019. Maria advises on public law cases and represents children directly or through their Guardians. Maria also represents parents and other family members in care cases.
Maria has experience in representing parties in complex care cases, including, non-accidental injury. She regularly acts in cases where the concerns involve one or more of the following; mental health issues; domestic abuse; physical abuse and neglect. Maria is a confident advocate and where possible undertakes her own advocacy.
Maria is particularly keen to provide support to clients of diverse cultural backgrounds and guide them through every step of care proceedings.
Maria’s father is a lawyer in her home country and that sparked an interest in the law at a young age. Maria specialises in family law because she likes being able to help people that are in need and to make an impact in their lives.

Fundraising Activity
Maria is passionate about supporting and community and especially those with limited access to justice. She has volunteered for the Personal Support Unit and the London Legal Support Trust. Recently she has built links with a domestic abuse charity offering legal advice to mothers involved in the criminal justice system.
