Lindsay qualified as a solicitor in April 2013 and specialises in public law cases concerning children and is a member of The Law Society’s Children Accreditation Scheme. Lindsay represents children in care proceedings whether directly or through their Guardian as well as parents, grandparents and other family members that may be involved in proceedings.
Lindsay has experience in complex care cases where there are allegations of non-accidental injury and sexual abuse, and where there are concerns regarding parental mental health, domestic violence and drug and alcohol use. Lindsay has experience in representing parents with learning difficulties, often with the assistance of a court intermediary.
Lindsay advises grandparents and other family members who may not be part of court proceedings but are being assessed as a possible carer or special guardian for a child.
Lindsay regularly undertakes her own advocacy.
