Amanda’s first legal role was with an immigration firm where she assisted with the preparation of visa, settlement and entry clearance applications. She was exposed to elements of family law assisting in divorce, annulment applications and child contact orders, when working there. Amanda also has some experience in personal injury and civil litigation matters.
Amanda completed her undergraduate degree in Law from the University of Northampton in 2017. She then went on to do her LPC at the University of Law in 2018.
Whilst at University, Amanda enjoyed all family law modules and wrote her dissertation on Forced Marriages, which assessed whether the victims of forced marriages were sufficiently protected. After graduating her LLB, she undertook her LPC and LLM at University of Law where her Masters dissertation was in family law and the effects of ADR.
Amanda completed a mini pupillage in chambers based in Canterbury, Kent where she shadowed barristers specialising in family law. This solidified her interest in family law.
