Afnan Haneef

Afnan is a trainee solicitor in the Social Welfare department. She supports Jennifer Mansell with her Housing, Community Care and Court of Protection work, and Liam Cunningham with his Court of Protection work. She started her training contract in September 2024.

Afnan previously worked as a Paralegal in the Social Welfare department in 2022-23 and supported Monica Kreel with her Community Care, Court of Protection and Public Law work

Prior to originally joining TV Edwards, Afnan worked as a mental health law Paralegal, and then moved on to managing her own caseload in community care matters and assisting in Court of Protection cases as a Court of Protection Paralegal at a North London law firm.

Afnan studied Law at the University of Manchester, and also has a master’s degree in Public International Law from the same university. It was during her time at university where she developed an interest in access to justice, through volunteering at the Manchester Civil Justice Centre and assisting solicitors at law clinics.
