Julian Overton

Julian qualified as a solicitor in 2001. He joined TV Edwards in 2006 and became a Member Partner 2 years later. In 2012 he became the firm’s Managing Partner.

Julian specialised in criminal litigation for nearly 20 years, starting out as an accredited police station representative in Nottingham, before becoming a Duty Solicitor and then Higher Rights Advocate in London.

In recent years, Julian’s focus moved from criminal work to alcohol and entertainment licensing, and he now leads the firm’s licensing team.  He is a member of the Institute of Licensing.

As Managing Partner, most of Julian’s time is devoted to the day to day running of the practice and implementation of the firm’s strategic plans. He is the practice’s Finance Partner, Compliance Officer for Finance and Administration, Money Laundering Reporting Officer and the Training Principle.
