Ghazal advises on public law cases and represents children directly or through their Guardians. Ghazal also represents parents and other family members in care cases. Ghazal has experience in representing parties in complex care cases, including, non-accidental injury and deprivation of liberty cases and cases where the child has suffered from sexual harm. Ghazal also represents parties where the issues relate to mental health, including where one or more parties lack capacity and the Official Solicitor has been appointed, and issues relating to drugs and alcohol.
Ghazal undertakes most of her own advocacy.
Ghazal has always been interested in family law but became interested in public law specifically when she worked as a paralegal in 2010 assisting solicitors in care cases. Ghazal qualified as a solicitor in March 2013.
