We are delighted to announce the promotion of Georgia Patterson to Associate Solicitor within our Criminal Defence Team.
This achievement reflects not only Georgia’s dedication and exceptional performance but also our firm’s commitment to nurturing talent. We are proud that our efforts have been recognised by The Sunday Times, which named us one of the Best Places to Work in 2024. As highlighted in their feature.
“At this London law firm, a low turnover of staff is partly thanks to the empathy ingrained in the business, with its longstanding commitment to social justice. The success of its development programme is demonstrated by the number of staff promoted to associate, senior associate, and partner roles.”
Georgia Patterson’s Journey
Georgia embodies the spirit of homegrown talent. She joined TV Edwards as a Paralegal in 2018, quickly enrolled in a part-time LPC course, and progressed to become a Trainee Solicitor. Georgia qualified in early 2023, achieved duty solicitor status in almost record time, and has since excelled in representing children and young people within the criminal justice system.
In recognition of her outstanding contributions, Georgia was named ‘Employee of the Year’ at the TV Edwards’ 2024 AGM. This prestigious award celebrates her consistent excellence, impactful work within the firm, and meaningful contributions to the wider community. Notably, in her first-year post-qualification, she represented a youth client in a complex four-month attempted murder trial.
Throughout her career at TV Edwards, Georgia has exemplified our core values of accessibility, collaboration, excellence, integrity, and respect. She consistently exceeds expectations, fosters teamwork, and mentors newer colleagues with enthusiasm and support.
Beyond the Firm
Georgia is also deeply committed to community service. She volunteers with The Schools Consent Project, educating school-aged children about consent and sexual offences. Additionally, she conducts workshops and delivers talks at various youth centres across Tower Hamlets.
A Word from our Managing Partner, Julian Overton:
“Developing our talent and investing in our people are key to delivering exceptional client experiences and being an employer of choice. Georgia’s promotion is richly deserved and a testament to her hard work, dedication, and contributions to the Criminal Defence Team. She is a true team player, an outstanding role model, and a credit to the firm. It has been an absolute pleasure to witness Georgia’s growth at TV Edwards, and I am delighted that she has chosen to take the next step in her career with us.”
Congratulations, Georgia! We are excited to see all that you will achieve in your new role.
