Peter is a member of the Association of Leasehold Enfranchisement Practitioners and receives a wide range of instruction from freehold and leaseholders alike to assist in building and block Management.
Since qualifying as a solicitor in 2017, Peter has represented individuals and companies in various civil disputes and commercial matters in the county court, High Court and property tribunals. He is experienced in advising as to forfeiture claims, service charges and breach of covenant disputes, removing restrictive covenants, leasehold extensions, Right-To-Manage and Enfranchisement claims, eviction processes under the Housing Act 1988, and general property management for landlords and managing agents. Peter also has experience in debt enforcement matters.
Using his excellent client care skills to assist individuals and corporate bodies alike, Peter advises on the law governing their situations, provides practical advice on procedure and assists with managing matters towards a resolution.
Peter’s interest in dispute resolution work comes from his desire to help parties find a balance between their respective positions and work conciliatorily towards a solution.
Notable Cases
Peter acted for the interested parties in a judicial review issued by an individual seeking to overturn a costs order made against him after he brought a failed private prosecution against Peter’s clients. The High Court confirmed that the criminal courts have the power to award costs against private prosecutors if they are satisfied that the costs were incurred as a result of an unnecessary or improper act of omission. Charity and Fundraising
Peter is a volunteer senior adviser with Waterloo Legal Advice Service, which provides pro bono assistance to people living in South London. Peter also spends time volunteering with Lower Regents Coalition cleaning local paths and waterways in East London. He is also a governor of a school in South London.
