Jane specialises in complex children matters, to include both private law and public law cases (care cases). Jane has extensive experience of dealing with non-accidental injury cases and in most cases, represents the parents. Wherever possible she will endeavour to undertake her own advocacy to ensure that her clients have continuity and support though a difficult process. In addition, Jane undertakes adoption and special guardianship work.
She also undertakes international child abduction cases, where a child has been removed from the country without the other parents’ consent and assists in securing their return. She also deals all aspects of children matters that arise when parents separate.
Perhaps an unusual combination, she is also instructed in financial cases that arise upon separation, whether married or unmarried couples. She is a Resolution Accredited Specialist in Advanced Financial Provision 1, Private Law (Children) and Advanced Financial Provision for Children, thereby enabling her to resolve matters in a constructive but non-confrontational manner, striving to reach resolution at the earliest opportunity for all concerned. She is also an experienced advocate and wherever possible will undertake her own advocacy providing continuity for her clients.
Jane undertakes both private client and legal aid work.
